Warranty Policy

Policy Number: LW-WAR-001
Version: 1.0
Effective Date: 1 August 2026
Review Date: 1 August 2027
Applies To: All Genuine Lock Offroad and Lock Xtreme Wheels Sold in Australia

1. Purpose

This Warranty Policy outlines the warranty coverage, conditions, exclusions and claim process applicable to genuine Lock Offroad and Lock Xtreme wheels distributed by Dynamic Wheel Co. Pty Ltd.

Lock Wheels are engineered and tested for Australian conditions and are backed by a Lifetime Structural Warranty and a Five-Year T.A.C.T. Finish Warranty for the benefit of the original retail purchaser.

This policy should be read in conjunction with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which provides rights and remedies that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified.

2. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing contained within this Warranty Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Lifetime Structural Warranty

Lock Offroad and Lock Xtreme Wheels warrant to the original retail purchaser that genuine Lock wheels will be free from structural failure caused by defects in materials or workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the wheels.

Structural failure means a crack, fracture or loss of structural integrity that arises solely from a manufacturing defect in the wheel. This warranty applies only when the wheel has been installed correctly, maintained appropriately and used within its intended design parameters and load ratings.

The Lifetime Structural Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable upon sale of the vehicle or wheel.

4. Five-Year T.A.C.T. Finish Warranty

Lock Wheels warrants that the factory-applied T.A.C.T. finish, including painted, powder-coated, clear-coated and machined-clear finishes, will be free from manufacturing defects that cause peeling, lifting, blistering or separation of the finish for a period of five (5) years from the original retail purchase date.

The Finish Warranty applies solely to defects arising from the manufacturing process and does not extend to wear and tear, accidental damage, environmental exposure or maintenance-related deterioration.

5. Accessory Warranty

Accessories supplied with genuine Lock wheels are covered against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the original purchase date.

Accessories include centre caps, logos, decorative hardware, simulated beadlock rings, beauty rings, hub-centric rings and wheel nuts supplied by Lock Wheels.

Functional beadlock rings are considered wear components and are excluded from cosmetic and wear-related warranty claims.

6. Warranty Exclusions

The Structural Warranty and Finish Warranty do not cover damage caused by external impacts, misuse, neglect, improper installation or normal wear and tear.

Without limitation, warranty coverage does not apply to damage resulting from collisions, potholes, kerb impacts, road hazards, off-road obstacles, accidents, vehicle overloading, incorrect tyre fitment, incorrect tyre pressures, racing, competition use or motorsport activities.

The warranty will also be void where wheels have been modified, repaired, welded, machined, straightened, refinished or otherwise altered after manufacture.

Wheels installed using non-approved mounting hardware, wheel spacers or wheel adapters are excluded from warranty coverage to the extent such products contribute to the failure.

Colour variation, gloss variation and cosmetic changes that develop naturally through use and ageing are not considered manufacturing defects.

7. Environmental and Corrosion Exclusions

The Finish Warranty does not cover corrosion, oxidation, staining, pitting, rust or finish deterioration arising from environmental conditions or maintenance practices.

This includes, but is not limited to, exposure to saltwater, coastal environments, beach driving, road salt, water crossings, mud, brake dust, industrial fallout, chemical contamination, mineral deposits or prolonged exposure to environmental contaminants.

Damage caused by acidic, alkaline, caustic or abrasive cleaning products is specifically excluded.

Raw, polished or uncoated aluminium surfaces naturally oxidise over time and are not covered under the Finish Warranty.

8. Off-Road Use

Lock Offroad and Lock Xtreme wheels are designed for recreational off-road applications and occasional severe terrain use.

Off-road driving does not void the warranty.

However, damage resulting from impacts with rocks, ledges, stumps, washouts, deep ruts, debris or similar obstacles encountered during off-road driving is considered operational damage and is not regarded as a manufacturing defect.

Claims involving off-road related damage will be assessed on a case-by-case basis to determine whether the failure arose from a manufacturing defect or from operational impact damage.

9. Owner Responsibilities

To maintain warranty coverage, owners must ensure wheels are installed by a qualified professional using approved mounting hardware and correct installation procedures.

Wheel nuts or bolts must be tightened to the vehicle manufacturer's recommended torque specifications and inspected periodically following installation.

Owners must ensure the wheels are fitted with the correct tyre sizes and are not subjected to loads beyond the rated capacity of either the wheel or vehicle.

Lock Wheels recommends regular cleaning using clean water and a pH-neutral automotive wash. Wheels should be cleaned more frequently following beach driving, exposure to coastal environments or heavy off-road use.

Failure to maintain the wheels appropriately may affect warranty eligibility where the lack of maintenance has contributed to the failure.

10. Warranty Claims

Warranty claims must initially be submitted through the authorised Lock Wheels dealer from whom the wheels were purchased.

All claims must be supported by proof of purchase and sufficient information to allow accurate assessment of the claim.

Lock Wheels Australia may request photographs, vehicle details, maintenance history, inspection reports or physical return of the wheel for assessment.

The wheel must not be repaired, refinished or altered before inspection by Lock Wheels Australia, as doing so may compromise the ability to determine the cause of the issue and may invalidate the claim.

Lock Wheels Australia reserves the right to inspect, test and retain any wheel submitted as part of a warranty investigation.

11. Warranty Assessment and Remedy

Lock Wheels Australia retains sole discretion to determine whether a warranty claim falls within the scope of this policy.

Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Lock Wheels Australia may elect to repair, refinish or replace the wheel. If the original wheel model, size or finish is no longer available, a comparable wheel of similar specification and value may be supplied.

Any replacement wheel provided under warranty will continue to be covered only for the balance of the original warranty period and will not commence a new warranty period.

12. Costs Not Covered

Except where required by the Australian Consumer Law, Lock Wheels Australia is not responsible for costs associated with wheel removal, tyre removal, refitting, balancing, freight, transportation, vehicle downtime, alternative transportation, accommodation, loss of income or replacement of unaffected wheels.

Any costs incurred without prior written approval from Lock Wheels Australia remain the responsibility of the purchaser.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lock Wheels Australia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the product.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
